Riding Simulator - "Strider"
Meet "Strider", Ashen E.C's computerised riding simulator.

Unlike ALL other riding simulators or mechanical horses currently available to the public in the UK Strider is the ONLY one which provides stride-by-stride, accurate, science-based read-outs, as opposed to being purely instructor-subjective.
What makes "Strider" so different from other mechanical horses?
- Powered by compressed air Strider feels like a real horse
- Strider walks, trots and canters on both leads
- Flying changes programmable at any stride interval
- Adjustable paces to mimic gait variants
Strider gives immediate stride-by-stride computerised read-outs on the 3 planes of motion -
- 1. Are you are behind, in front or over the horse's centre of gravity?
2. Are you weighted to the right, the left or over the horse's centre of gravity?
- 3. The Up/Down Plane - How much do you bounce?!
- Further sensors also detail rein-tension and the evenness of the rein contact.
- These read-outs can be printed and kept by the rider for further future analysis & to measure progress
The mirrors also assist Strider's riders in seeing and visualising changes and improvements
Strider provides the rider with the keys to really understand and address their riding issues
However, what makes Strider unique is the coaching with Becky Chapman

Any instructor can tell you what you are doing wrong; in fact most of our visitors have already got a pretty clear idea what their main riding issues are, after all they have had years to perfect them! Becky's skills lie in communicating how and why the changes will impact on your riding in a profound & lasting way.
"Brilliant, amazing, enlightening, and that's just "Strider", Becky was even more amazing...born to be a teacher, you explain things so well...thanks very much for a lovely day, we will all be back." S.Dorey.

"Absolutely Brilliant. Extremely well explained and discussed throughout. Learnt a lot that will benefit my riding but more importantly my horse. I'm about to finish a masters in education and this was spot on. Thanks Becky." - Dave
"Priceless, Very, Very Useful. Only wish I'd done it earlier! I think this is the only way to be sure how & what you feel in your body feels to the horse." - Charlotte
"Just a quick email to say thank you for our simulator session. Everyone throughly enjoyed it...the fixes far exceeded our initial expections...Congratulations on your super hospitality and facilities". Helen
"Thank you so much for this weekend. After schooling Halla, I have realised you are a genius! It is rare to find someone with such a good eye for getting to the root of a problem and yet make it so fun and positive. The symptoms I was being frustrated by (asymmetry, heavy hands) all but disappeared this morning thanks to the improvements... As soon as we picked up trot Halla's back came up under me and 99% of the time stayed up, her pace steadied and her green horse wobbliness was gone...it flipping works! I couldn't believe the instant change in her way of going... Canter was fab too." Kate.
"Really enjoyed the course, very informative...lots to take away and put in place to improve my stability when riding, especially in canter." L.Loveless "Very interesting and fun, leant lots to help me and help my pony." S.Roberts "Excellent - move to Oxfordshire!" A.Haines
"Really worthwhile both in terms of "Bodywork" and confidence." K.Jackson "Excellent course, very keen to put it into practice, was insiteful to see how biomechanics affected the horse's way of going and v.useful to watch the changes in other riders." M.Cudmore
"Just wanted to say what a difference my first session has made to my riding...left canter strike offs are no longer an issue and I feel like I am getting back to riding properly rather than sitting on a horse and miscomunicating...my horses have started to go how they used to prior to my accident and my frustration about not being able to get this level of performance out of them is greatly reduced...looking forward to my next session...many thanks for your help." D.Matthews
"I just wanted to drop you a quick email to let you know how much we enjoyed the simulator day...The session highlighted not only what I needed to change but also what I was doing right! Your expert help and patience in adjusting my position has enabled me to take away an impression of exactly how I need to sit and how to remain there, whatever the speed! Unfortunately my horse does not have the wonderful paces of Strider but this week has already resulted in a noticeable improvement to my canter transitions...Thanks for a fantastic day." K.Lund.
"Amazing difference in Dee now I am more acutely aware of how subtle a change of weight or balance needs to be! I feel much more focused - bril - thanks again and I can't wait for another go!" J.Best.
"Just wanted to say how much we enjoyed our Simulator Sessions. We gained a lot from having a lesson on such a "school master" and your tution was great fun and informative." J.Thomas. "I would never have made such huge changes to Ben without the Simulator'." D.Mayhew.
"Really good learning environment. The session gave me a new sense of confidence and plenty to take away to try on my own beast. A throughly rewarding day in a relaxed and idyllic surrounding." B.Lund.
"Just thought I'd let you know following the simulator session...I've spent the rest of the week practising my position...things really started getting a lot better...Gizmo says thanks!" C.McLure
"Thanks for last nights Simulator Session - I had a brilliant night and learned a lot!" S.Garner
